The CEE Permaculture Convergence 2026 offers exactly that opportunity.
From 27–30 August 2026, permaculture practitioners, educators, activists, community builders, and curious newcomers from across Central and Eastern Europe will gather at the beautiful rural site of Csobánkapuszta, Hungary for four days of learning, sharing, networking, and celebration. If you are NOT from CEE but want to connect and gain experience with CEE vibes, this IS the chance!
Why Attend?
The convergence is designed to bring together people interested in creating resilient, regenerative, and caring communities. Whether you are an experienced permaculture designer, a community organizer, a gardener, a social entrepreneur, or simply someone exploring sustainable ways of living, you will find valuable connections and inspiration.
Participants will have the opportunity to:
- Meet English-speaking permaculture practitioners living and working in Hungary
- Connect with the growing Hungarian permaculture movement
- Exchange experiences with representatives of the Slovak, Czech, Ukrainian, Austrian, and other Central and Eastern European permaculture networks

More than a Conference
The CEE Permaculture Convergence is not a conventional conference. It is a living community experience where learning happens through conversations around the campfire, shared meals, hands-on activities, and meaningful encounters.

In cooperation with Gyüttment Festival
One of the most exciting aspects of the 2026 convergence is that it will be organized in cooperation with the renowned Gyüttment Festival, Hungary's leading gathering dedicated to ecological living, community resilience, traditional knowledge, and sustainable lifestyles.
This means that convergence participants will also have access to the rich programme of the festival, offering an even wider range of workshops, talks, cultural events, and practical demonstrations (mostly in Hungarian but also practical activities, singing, dancing).

A growing regional movement
The CEE Permaculture Convergence is a meeting point for permaculture movements across the region. Participants bring diverse experiences and perspectives from their local contexts, creating a unique space for cross-border collaboration and mutual learning.

Tickets are available through the Gyüttment Festival ticket platform:

At the moment, the ticket page is primarily available in Hungarian. Gyüttment organizers have indicated that an English-language ticket page will be launched soon. Until then, online translation tools can help with the purchase process.
Participants may also purchase tickets directly at the entrance during the event.
